The Victoria Highland Dancing Association is a volunteer run organization that has been formed to help support highland dancing in our community. We are affiliated with the Royal Scottish Official Board of Highland Dancing, Scotdance BC, and Scotdance Canada. We organize and host three competitions a year, as well as semi-regular workshops and ceilidh events. We strive to share and encourage our culture and traditions through dance.

2024 VHDA MEMBERSHIP FORM:
Want to join our Association? We are always looking to welcome new members. The membership application form for January 1, 2024 - December 31, 2024 is posted below. Please consider joining our membership to receive discounted entry fees for our 3 competitions each year, be eligible for the Bill Johnston Memorial Trophy and Bursary, our new pre-premier annual bursary, and other special offers. This 2024 season will include competitions on February 10, 2024, August 31, 2024, October 26, 2024, and a workshop on April 20th, 2024.
The cost is $25 for the year, with a reimbursable volunteer deposit of $50 (reimbursed when you, or someone associated with your membership completes one volunteer shift at a VHDA event). All the volunteer jobs are easy and require little to no prior knowledge. There is a short description of what each job entails on the VOLUNTEERS page. We cannot run such fun and successful competitions without the help of our members. We look forward to seeing you at all our upcoming events!
Membership is open to dancers from ALL geographical regions.
