The Victoria Highland Dancing Association is a volunteer run organization that has been formed to help support highland dancing in our community. We are affiliated with the Royal Scottish Official Board of Highland Dancing, Scotdance BC, and Scotdance Canada. We organize and host three competitions a year, as well as a number of "dance outs" and performances. We strive to share and encourage our culture and traditions through dance.
We are always looking for sponsors who want to support our community, our dancers, and scottish heritage. If you are interested in donating to our Association, please contact us.

OCTOBER 21st 2023 - new date for our Fall Spooky Competition!
Due to a conflict with the BATD Conference in Whistler the last weekend of October we have had to change the date of our Spooky competition. This year we will be holding it on Saturday October 21st at Lambrick Park Church! Entry is now open, find more information on the UPCOMING EVENTS page.
Please consider signing up for a VHDA membership to receive a discounted entry fee.

Want to join our Association? We are always looking to welcome new members. The membership application form for November 1st 2022- October 31st 2023 is posted below. Please consider joining our membership to receive discounted entry fees for our 3 competitions each year, be eligible for the Bill Johnston Memorial Trophy and Bursary, and other special offers. This 2022-2023 season will include competitions on February 11, 2023, September 2, 2023, and October 28, 2023.
This year, along with each membership, we are asking for a $50 Volunteer Deposit. This deposit will be returned to the member once a volunteer shift at one of our competitions has been completed. All the volunteer jobs are easy and require little to no prior knowledge. There is a short description of what each job entails on the VOLUNTEERS page. We cannot run such fun and successful competitions without the help of our members. We look forward to seeing you at all our upcoming events!
Membership is open to dancers from ALL geographical regions.
